Thromedy? Comiller?

Last night was productive: 6 1/2 pages of the screenplay.

That brings the total page count to 40.

The screenplay still doesn't know what it wants to be when it grows up; unfortunately, there's no portmanteau word in the vein of "dramedy" to describes a script that is both a comedy and a thriller.

Perhaps I'm inventing a genre. Or I might be Frankensteining an abomination. Maybe both!

You could always ask Joss Whedon what he calls the screenplays he writes. Both Buffy and Firefly were chock full of laughs and witty dialogue, while definitely having a thriller edge to them.

I like "thromedy." Don't worry about genres, though. It'll grow up just fine. So what if it doesn't fit in with any of the other screenplays? Let it just be itself, and we'll love it for who it is. I'm sure it'll grow out of that awkward stage eventually, especially with you there to nurture it.
Okay, I think I should've stopped with "I like 'thromedy.'" But I'll post it anyway...with your say-so, that is.

How about, "Driller"?

No, wait--my previous comment doesn't make sense. My brain must have substituted "Drama" for "Comedy". Ignore it.
